Detention in the Magic Forest

For whatever reason, a group of second-year students have found themselves in detention. Whether it’s from sneaking out of their dorms after hours or stealing from the kitchens, they’ve placed themselves in the hands of the academy’s potion professor, Yui Xilthyra, and her teaching assistant, Akai.

As far as everyone knows, if detentions don’t consist of cleaning up the barracks or sorting the thousands of books in the school library, there’s always the possibility of being sent on a mission to fetch materials or help with something in the forest that surrounds the northeast of the campus. 

Normally, the Evergreen Forest is a delight to students—a place to study and hang out under the ambient glow of the afternoon sun. However, at night not so much—as the shadows and lack of light creep up on anyone, and who knows what crawls around after hours. After all, students aren’t afraid of the dark, but rather what could be hiding in it.

This game is run using Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition. No experience is necessary.
